The offset (prism constant) is where new crews get burned: shoot a -30mm prism with a 0mm setting and every distance is 30mm long. Mini prisms with true 0mm offset remove the failure mode entirely — which is why our AK15-pattern mini ships fixed at 0mm and we verify it on our own gun. Standard 62mm assemblies give selectable -30/0mm for compatibility with legacy setups.
