LayoutEquipment.com ("we," "us") sells construction layout and survey equipment. This policy describes what we collect and how we use it. Short version: we collect as little as possible and we don't run tracking.
Email address — only if you give it to us via a signup form (for launch updates, your 10%-off code, restock and new-product emails). It is stored in our secure backend database. We do not buy, sell, rent, or share email lists.
Order information — when checkout opens, payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We receive your name, shipping address, email, and order contents so we can fulfill your order. We never see or store your full card number; that goes directly to Stripe. See Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or ad pixels. Browsing this site sets no cookies. Your shopping cart is saved in your own browser's local storage on your device and is never transmitted to us. When you proceed to checkout, Stripe loads and may set strictly-necessary cookies used solely for payment security and fraud prevention — these are required to process your payment and are used for no other purpose. Because we set no optional cookies, there is nothing to opt out of; if you prefer, clearing your browser storage removes your saved cart at any time.
Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, honored promptly. We will never use deceptive subject lines. To be removed at any time, use that link or email crew@layoutequipment.com.
We share information only with service providers needed to run the store: Stripe (payments), our database host, our email delivery provider, and shipping carriers/suppliers who need your address to deliver your order. We share what the law requires when validly compelled. We do not sell personal information.
You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing crew@layoutequipment.com. We honor these requests regardless of which state you live in.
